Riyan Parag is one of the youngest players to have had an impact in the Indian Premier League. He was picked by Rajasthan Royals in 2018 and went on to become the youngest player to hit a half-century. Before Parag, Sanju Samson and Prithvi Shaw held the record (18 years and 169 days). Parag hit 50 runs when he was just 17 days and 175 days.

He represents Assam domestically and has also played for the India under-19 winning team in 2018. His father is a former state-level cricketer and also holds a record in national swimming. After having a successful debut season, Riyan will still represent Rajasthan Royals in the IPL. He played 7 matches in 2019 and scored 160 runs and took 2 wickets. Being one of the youngest players in the side he will receive a lot of guidance from the senior players which will help him later in his career. With Steve Smith as the captain of the side, he is being led by one of the best in the business. Rajasthan Royals has played two matches so far and has won both of them. Parag has been part of both the matches till now and will be hoping that he can contribute to more wins for the side.
