Rahane had a cold season but he turned t around when long with Shikhar Dhawan he helped DC secure a top-two position after defeating RCB by six wickets. He played some classic cricketing shots and also scored a half-century for the side.

“Everybody must be thinking Shikhar Dhawan played a brilliant knock but it was Rahane who was playing the anchor. He silently made sure that DC win. That’s what Rahane is. He will never make a headline. But he is the guy who will be holding everything together and that’s what he brings to the table. I am really happy for this man. He was just quiet. He didn’t try anything till he made sure that his team crosses the line. He tried that shot when he knew that from now on nothing else could happen,” Pragyan Ojha told
