The Indian cricket team opener Mayank Agarwal has been bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL auctions 2023. He has been bought for 8.25 Crore.
The Indian batter is a former captain of the IPL franchise named Punjab Kings. The team didn’t retain the opener this season and thus he will be playing for in the coming season.
There was a bidding battle between Punjab kings and Chennai Super Kings. But Sunrisers Hyderabad overtook and won the battle against CSK. Mayank Agarwal can also be a new captain of sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2023. CSK was going for the Indian opener as they knew Robin Uthappa is retired and this coming season could be the last one of Ambati Rayudu.
