The Indian Premier League 2023 Auction will start on December 23rd, 2022. The Auction will take place in Kochi, Kerala, all in one day. Since this is not a large-scale auction, BCCI chose to complete it in a single day. This auction will now feature the players that weren’t signed by any teams or kept by their previous franchises. Because it is a mini-auction, the teams have a much smaller budget than in seasons past. India will host the 2023 IPL (as per reports).

The KKR team, two-time champions of the most popular cricket tournament in the world, came in seventh place the previous year. With some prominent players on their lineup, they appear poised to reclaim their former glory this season. The team has released 15 players this year while keeping a total of 14 players. There are 11 open spots on the team list, 3 of which are designated for international players. Among the 991 players who have signed up for the IPL auction this year, KKR hopes to acquire 11 of those who are on the long list.
