The 19th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is set for a high-stakes auction in Abu Dhabi on December 16, with 350 players going under the hammer. A total of 1,390 players had initially registered, which was trimmed to 1,005, before the final shortlist of 350 was confirmed for the 77 vacancies across 10 teams — including 31 overseas slots.
The final pool features 240 Indian and 110 overseas players. As many as 40 players have entered the top base-price bracket of ₹2 crore, while 227 uncapped domestic players have chosen the lowest bracket of ₹30 lakh.
This year’s auction list includes 16 capped Indian players, alongside 224 uncapped Indians and 14 uncapped overseas players, ensuring a deep and competitive roster for teams to strategise around.
