For India’s allrounder Vijay Shankar, bidding started at a base price of INR 50 lakhs. Gujrat was the first to bid, Chennai was the next one in line. After Chennai and Gujrat went back at each other, Shankar was finally sold to Gujrat for INR 1.4 crore.

CSK’s Ambati Rayudu mocked Shankars’s selection in India’s 2019 World Cup squad. With Chennai fighting to get Shankar on board and Rayudu already being in the team, cricket fanatics took a dig at this situation on Twitter. Here are some of the tweets:
