Delhi Capitals shells out Indian Cricketer, Chetan Sakariya for a decent price of Rs 4.2 crores at the IPL Auction 2022.
Chetan was set at a base price of Rs 50 lakhs. Banglore starts the bid for Rs 50 lakhs, Rajasthan joins along with them to retain its player, bidding Rs 55 lakh. It became a bidding war between Rajasthan and Banglore to get that young left-arm medium-fast bowler. Both the teams looked greedy and Chetan’s bid reached the mark of Rs 1 crore put by Banglore.
Rajasthan was still not ready to let Chetan go and bid for Rs 1.1 crores. Bangalore continues its bid for Rs 1.2 crores, Rajasthan looked skeptical for it but went on to bid for Rs 1.3 crores.
Delhi joins the bidding war at Rs 1.7 crores, Rajasthan continues to bid at Rs 1.8 crores. Rajasthan was not ready to give up and engages in a war with Delhi for Chetan. In the bidding, Rajasthan was taking time to decide whether continue to with Chetan this season, but Delhi looked convinced and continued the bidding very fast.
Both the team reached the mark of Rs 4 crores put by Rajasthan, Delhi didn’t even think once and raised it to Rs 4.20 crores. After Rajasthan had a brief discussion among themselves, they thought not to retain Chetan and let Delhi have the youngster.
