Royal Challengers Bangalore will have an almost new team for the upcoming IPL 2021. On one side, the franchise has released some big names but on the other side, they have also purchased some good players in the auction.
The players released by RCB are Aaron Finch, Chris Morris, Isuru Udana, Moeen Ali, Pawan Negi, Gurkeerat Singh Mann, Shivam Dube, Dale Steyn, Parthiv Patel and Umesh Yadav.
The players retained by RCB for IPL 2021 are Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Yuzvendra Chahal, Devdutt Padikkal, Navdeep Saini, Washington Sundar, Mohammed Siraj, Kane Richardson, Adam Zampa, Josh Phileppe, Shahbaz Ahmed and Pavan Deshpande.
While auction for IPL 2021, RCB made two big purchases. One of Australian batsman Glenn Maxwell at a huge price of 14.25 Crore INR. RCB succeeded in grabbing the limited-overs specialist after an intense bid war with Chennai Super Kings, as CSK was equally interested in Maxwell. Another big purchase by RCB was of New Zealand’s pace bowler Kyle Jamieson at a huge price of 15 Crore INR.
Another players bought by RCB in auction were Daniel Christian (4.8 crore INR), Sachin Baby (20 lakh INR), Mohammed Azharuddeen (20 lakh INR), Rajat Patidar (20 lakh INR), Suyash Prabhudessai (20 lakh INR) and KS Bharat (20 lakh INR).
It will be interesting to see whether the wait of RCB fans for IPL trophy would end this year or not.
