Rain delay hits RR vs RCB build-up in Guwahati
A light drizzle that began ahead of the IPL fixture between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Guwahati has now intensified, leading to a delay in proceedings before the toss.
Ground staff had initially acted quickly to bring covers onto the pitch as the first signs of rain appeared. However, with the drizzle turning heavier, the pitch and surrounding areas are now fully covered to protect the surface.
Toss delayed as rain gets heavier
The toss, scheduled for 7:00 pm, has been officially delayed until the weather improves. Conditions remain overcast, and more covers have been added as a precaution.
Despite the interruption, players had continued their warm-up routines during the early phase of the drizzle. With the rain now heavier, both teams are waiting for further updates as officials monitor the situation closely.
