Gujarat Titans continued their impressive form in IPL 2025, securing a dominant 7-wicket victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad in Match 19 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. This marked GT’s third consecutive win, while SRH slumped to their fourth straight loss, intensifying their struggles in the tournament.

After opting to bowl first, Gujarat’s bowling unit delivered a clinical performance. Mohammed Siraj was sensational, claiming a four-wicket haul. He was supported well by R Sai Kishore (2/24) and Prasidh Krishna (2/25) as SRH managed only 152/8 in their 20 overs. Nitish Reddy top-scored with 31, while Pat Cummins provided a brief late push.

During SRH’s innings, Washington Sundar played a fluent knock of 49 (29) but was dismissed controversially one run short of his fifty. His dismissal — a low catch by Aniket Verma off Mohammed Shami — was referred upstairs, and despite inconclusive angles, third umpire Nitin Menon ruled it out. Shubman Gill was seen disputing the call with on-field umpires, and commentators Hayden and Watson also voiced their disagreement.

In reply, GT chased down the target comfortably in 16.4 overs, reaching 153/3. Despite early setbacks, including a rare failure from Sai Sudharsan and a duck from Jos Buttler, Shubman Gill anchored the innings with an unbeaten fifty, assisted by Sherfane Rutherford’s quickfire finish.
