Nicholas Pooran continues to dominate IPL 2025’s run-scoring charts as the Lucknow Super Giants star extended his Orange Cap lead with a blistering 44-run knock against Punjab Kings at the Ekana Stadium. His innings, laced with 5 fours and 2 sixes, came off just 30 balls and helped LSG recover from early setbacks to post 171/7 in their 20 overs.
With this knock, Pooran’s tally now stands at 233 runs in 4 innings, making him the clear front-runner in the Orange Cap race. His consistent form has been a bright spot for LSG, having already registered three 40+ scores in the season, including two fifties.
While Pooran shone again, his teammate Mitchell Marsh failed to open his account, getting dismissed for a duck. Sai Sudharsan of Gujarat Titans and Travis Head of Sunrisers Hyderabad trail Pooran on the leaderboard with 137 and 136 runs respectively.
As the league progresses, all eyes will be on Pooran as he looks to build on his stellar form and possibly end IPL 2025 as the top scorer.
