Ahead of the much-anticipated Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) paid tribute to their star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, with MS Dhoni presenting him a special memento. The felicitation was part of CSK’s pre-season event, recognizing players for their significant contributions to the team and overall in cricket.
Special recognition award for Jadeja
Jadeja received the special memento from former CSK captain MS Dhoni. It can be seen that the memento had the T20I World Cup and Champions Trophy sign engraved in it. As a part of the team India squad, Jadeja won the 2024 T20I World Cup in Barbados and the recently held Champions Trophy. In both these ICC tournaments Jadeja played a key role in Team India’s triumph and this was a special initiative taken by the team to recognise his performance in international cricket.
CSK gears up for IPL opener vs MI
With the celebrations done, CSK is now focused on their IPL 2025 campaign, which begins with a blockbuster clash against their arch-rivals, Mumbai Indians (MI), on March 23 at Chepauk Stadium. The “El Clásico of IPL” promises to be a thrilling contest, with both teams looking to start their season on a high note.
