Kagiso Rabada, one of the most sought-after fast bowlers in the IPL 2025 mega auction, sparked a fierce bidding war after entering the auction with a base price of ₹2 crore. The battle for the South African pacer began with Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans vying for his services. As the bids escalated, Royal Challengers Bangalore entered the fray, intensifying the competition with Gujarat.
Eventually, Gujarat Titans emerged as the highest bidder at ₹10.75 crore. Punjab Kings, Rabada’s former team, chose not to exercise their Right to Match (RTM) option, leaving the Titans to finalize the deal.
Rabada’s addition bolsters Gujarat’s bowling arsenal significantly, as he brings world-class pace and experience to their lineup for IPL 2025.
