As fans gear up for the start of the 18th season of Indian Premier League with the first match being played between defending champions KKR and RCB on 22 March at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. We asked ChatGPT about who will win this year’s IPL. As predicted by ChatGPT, Mumbai Indians, the five-time champions will win IPL 2025. The franchise led by Hardik Pandya will start their campaign against their arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings on 23 March at the Chepauk Stadium, Chennai.

The squad for Mumbai Indians for IPL 2025 is as follows:

Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya (C), Rohit Sharma, Tilak Varma, Trent Boult, Naman Dhir, Robin Minz, Karan Sharma, Deepak Chahar, Ryan Rickelton,Mujeeb ur Rehman, Will Jacks, Ashwani Kumar, Mitchell Santner, Reece Topley, KL Shrijith, Raj Angad Bawa, Corbin Bosch.

Ahead of the mega-auctions, Mumbai Indians retained five of their key players including pacer Jasprit Bumrah at the first place, Suryakumar Yadav, captain Hardik Pandya, senior player Rohit Sharma and young batter Tilak Varma.

Team’s strengths and weaknesses:

The team has a balanced squad especially in the batting department with big names like Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Protean Ryan Rickleton, English all-rounder Will Jacks.

With Jasprit Bumrah likely to miss the first two weeks of IPL 2025, there are uncertainties regarding the right bowling combination of the team. However, the team has secured some quality fast bowlers in the form of Trent Boult, Deepak Chahar, Reece Topley. For spin bowling, New Zealand’s Mitchell Santner is there along with Mujeeb ur Rehman who has joined in as Allah Ghazanfar’s replacement.

The team won its first title in 2013, then in 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020. With a relatively balanced squad Hardik Pandya led side will put their best foot forward to win their sixth title and become the most successful team of IPL.
