Tuesday marked the end of the IPL 2024 Auction at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. Six players were purchased by the 2016 champion at the auction, including the Australian duo Pat Cummins and Travis Head, who won the World Cup. The highest-ever IPL auction bid was Rs. 20.50 crore for Cummins, before Mitchell Starc’s Rs. 24.75 crore purchase to the Kolkata Knight Riders.
With the acquisition of Indian pacer Jaydev Undakat for Rs. 1.60 crore and Sri Lankan leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga for Rs. 1.5 crore, SRH bolstered its bowling unit even further. Akash Singh and Jhathavedh Subramanyan were its final auction purchases, each for Rs. 20 lakh.
