At the auction in Dubai on Tuesday, Royal Challengers Bangalore, which continues to compete for an Indian Premier League (IPL) championship, added six new players to its roster for the 2024 campaign.
Although many were taken aback by RCB’s decision to sign West Indies fast bowler Alzarri Joseph for Rs. 11.50 crore, the move was consistent with their plan to assemble a respectable pace attack, as they had already signed Lockie Ferguson of New Zealand, Yash Dayal of India, and English fast-bowling all-rounder Tom Curran.
