Rajasthan Royals’ top order had a strong start in their IPL match against Chennai Super Kings, but Tushar Deshpande’s bowling changed the momentum of the game. In the 14th over, Deshpande struck two crucial wickets, first Sanju Samson and then Yashasvi Jaiswal.

In the first delivery of the over, Deshpande bowled a slower ball on a good length outside off, tempting Samson to loft it. But Samson could only manage a toe-end and the ball found its way to long-on where Gaikwad took a comfortable catch. Samson departed for 17 runs off 17 deliveries, with one boundary.

On the fifth delivery of the same over, Deshpande deceived Yashasvi Jaiswal with another slower ball off-cutter on a length outside off. Jaiswal slogged it but got a thick outside-edge that lobs straight up. Rahane took a good catch at backward point and Jaiswal had to leave the field after an impressive knock of 77 runs off 43 deliveries, including eight fours and four sixes.
