Yashasvi Jaiswal, the Rajasthan Royals opener, scored his first century in the Indian Premier League (IPL) against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday.

The left-handed batsman completed his hundred off 53 balls with a four off Riley Meredith and became the fourth youngest player to achieve this milestone in the IPL, at 21 years and 123 days.

The youngest century scorer in IPL is Manish Pandey (19 years, 253 days), followed by Rishabh Pant (20 years, 218 days) and Devdutt Padikkal (20 years, 289 days).

Jaiswal was eventually dismissed for 124 off 62 balls, equaling Jos Buttler’s record for the highest score by a Rajasthan Royals batsman. Buttler had previously scored 124 off 64 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Delhi during the 2021 season.
