Mathew Wade of the Gujarat Titans has continued to struggle this ongoing IPL season, now having the lowest batting average in the league at 14.2.

During the 67th match of the IPL 2022 against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Mathew Wade was declared out on Glenn Maxwell’s delivery and returned with 16 runs in 13 balls.

Matthew Wade successfully made his IPL comeback relying on his performances in the 2021 World T20. The cricketer who can bat anywhere around the top seven spots seems to be an undervalued T20 asset. His current term at GT, on the other hand, has been a huge disappointment.

Wade has only 114 runs to his credit in eight games, with a strike rate of 116.32.

If Wade’s situation remains, it will be a major blemish on GT’s overall successful season.

Wade has struggled at the bat this season, scoring 30, 1, 6, 19, and 20 runs respectively. However, his 20 runs off 15 balls were crucial in helping the Titans beat the Chennai Super Kings and finish in the top two.
