The 14th edition of the India Premier League (IPL) is all set to start in the month of April that too in the bio-secure environment of India. One of the most successful teams of IPL, Chennai Super Kings will play with a new Title sponsor on their yellow jersey. The franchise completed its three-year sponsorship with Muthoot Group and tie-up with the Czech’s automobile manufacturer Skoda for the upcoming season. The association of three-years signed for 75 crores by the franchise.

Chennai Super Kings were unable to perform as per their standard in the IPL 2020 i.e. 13th edition of the cash-rich league which was played in the bio-secure environment of the United Arab Emirates. MS Dhoni’s CSK earlier went in the play-offs of all seasons of IPL they were part of.

Talking about their previous sponsor Muthoot, the Muthoot Group signed the three-year deal for 65 crores. The official comments from the franchise and sponsor are not made so far. Significantly, Škoda Auto India Pvt Ltd. has been operating in India since November 2001 as a subsidiary of Škoda Auto, one of the fastest-growing car manufacturers in Europe.

CSK won three-IPL titles in 2010, 2011. and 2018 and have the best win percentage among all teams in the league. Dhoni-led Chennai is also the only team after Mumbai Indians to win the most number of Titles in IPL history.
