During the IPL 2020 opener, Chennai Super Kings beat Mumbai Indians by 5 wickets. The match was hosted at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
MS Dhoni has 105 wins throughout his IPL history. He also led Rising Pune Supergiant to five wins in IPL 2016.
The match took place on Saturday and is the first time MS Dhoni took the field after the loss to New Zealand during the semi-finals of the ODI World CUP 2019. CSK is the only franchise to reach the playoffs in all 10 seasons and have the title thrice, according to a news report by India TV News.
