Kamlesh Nagarkoti is an Indian fast bowler who was part of the Indian Under-19 team. He was part of the inning Under-19 team in 2018 and was the highest wicket-taker for India along with Shivam Mavi. Unfortunately, right after the World Cup, he suffered a stress fracture on his back and an injury on his ankle. BCCI took him to the UK for consultation and stayed in NCA for 1.5 years for rehab.

After his brilliant performance in the tournament, he was sure to play for Indian side in various tournaments but this came as a setback for the player as well as BCCI. The BCCI roughly spent around a crore and a half on his recovery to the field. He stayed out of the game for nearly 30 months due to an injury. Rahul Dravid played an important role in the bowlers return to professional cricket once again.

He was picked by KKR ahead of IPL 2019 for Rs 3.2 crores but was ruled out due to his injury. Even after being unable to play the franchise showed trust in him and kept him for the next season as well. After recovering he made his debut for KKR in IPL 2020 on September 26. He made an impactful debut for the franchise and is hopeful to play many more matches. He thanked the franchise for backing him up for two years and that he is grateful for the support.
