Robin Uthappa is an Indian cricketer, who plays for Karnataka in domestic cricket and for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the IPL. Robin Uthappa had a successful debut as a batsman and is named as ‘The Walking Assassin’ due to his tactics of charging the bowler.
Robin’s international career went off track in his early 20s which took him time to fight back. He played an important role for the win of India’s ICC 2007 World T20.

1. Ranji Trophy debut at young age:
Robin Uthappa made his Ranji Trophy debut for Karnataka, at a very early age of 17 in 2002. Few days prior, to this Robin Uthappa made his List A debut for Karnataka against Andhra Pradesh, where he scored 61 runs.
2. Part of Indian U-19 team:
Robin Uthappa, was a part of Indias U-19 team that played the ICC World Cup in the year, 2004.
3. Gained position for the ODI:
Robin Uthappa gained a place in the Indian team for the One-Day International (ODI) series, in 2006. Robin Uthappa smashed 86 runs, which is the highest score by an Indian in an ODI debut.
4. T20 International debut:
Robin Uthappa made his T20 international debut against Scotland during the ICC World T20 in 2007. Robin, is among those of the few batsmen to hit a fifty in his maiden ODI and T20 innings.
5. Only Indian batsman after Sachin Tendulkar to win Orange Cap:
Robin Uthappa, is recognised as the only Indian batsman after Sachin Tendulkar to win the Orange Cap. It was during the IPL, 2014 tournament when Uthappa made 10 scores of over 40, which was a new record in the IPL.
6. Heap of trophies:
During the 2013- 14 season, Robin Uthappa won lots of trophies. With Karnataka he won Vijay Hazare Trophy, Ranji Trophy and the Irani Trophy. In 2014 Indian Premier League (IPL), he contributed his part to the winning of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) which was priceless.

Robin Uthappa is currently the 6th highest run scorer in the Indian Premier League (IPL) of all time with 3778 runs.
8. IPL teams:
Robin Uthappa played for four Indian Premier League (IPL) teams, including Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Banglore, Pune Warriors India and Kolkata Knight Riders.
