David Warner is an Australian international cricketer and a former  captain of the Australian national team. He is known for aggressive batting style, and has actually started  cricket career at a very young age. David is both a right-handed as well as a left-handed batsman. He is famous for his ability to switch hit, using the back of the bat.

First Australian to play without any experience:

David Warner became the first Australian cricketer in 132 years to get into a national team without any experience in first-class cricket.

Top Test batsmen:

David Warner is the 6th among the most top Test batsmen in the world, according to the official ICC player rankings.

Player of the Match’ title:

He was awarded with the ‘Player of the Match’ title for scoring 89 runs of 114 balls against the Afganistan in the opening match of the Cricket World Cup 2019.

First Australian batsman to score a century: 

David Warner is the first Australian batsman and 8th batsman overall to score a century in his 100th ODI, on September 2017. David also became the fourth player in the Allan Border Medal for more than once, and also won the award in consecutive years, in January 2017.

Debut in the year 2009:

David Warner made his international debut on January 11, 2009 in a T20 international against South Africa. David scored the highest number of score in his T20 international debut and is also the second-fastest fifty in T20 International history.

Second opener in test: 

David, is the second opener in test history, after India’s Sunil Gavaskar, to score three consecutive Test hundreds twice in his career. He is also the only Australian since Adam Gilchrist to score three consecutive hundreds and achieved the feat twice in just 13 months.

First Australian cricketer to achieve the feat: 

Following the footsteps of the legendary cricketers – Victor Trumper, Charlie Macartney, Don Bradman and Majid Khan, he became the fifth cricketer to score a century before lunch on the first day of a Test match. However among all the five players, David is the first Australian cricketer to achieve the feat, while playing against Pakistan on January 2017.

Step down from cricket:

On March, 2018 David along with Steve Smith were forced to step down from the role assigned to them, due to ball tampering scandal. He was banned from playing international and Australian domestic cricket for 1 year. He was also dropped down as the brand ambassador of LG electronics. Warner was also banned from playing 2018 IPL.

David Warner is to make a comeback in the field after a year gap, as a captain of the team Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for the upcoming IPL 2020.
