Hardik Pandya and Chris Morris both have been reprimanded for breaching the Indian Premier League (IPL) Code of Conduct during the IPL 2020 match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

The incident took place in the 19th over of the Mumbai Indians (MI) hunt when Hardik Pandya hit Chris Morris for a six after three dot balls and gestured towards the South Africa. Chris Morris got his revenge when he banished Hardik Pandya in the fifth ball over and gave him a send off’.

A press release from the IPL said that both of them admitted to breaching the Code of Conduct. “For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the match referee’s decision is final and binding,” said the release.

“Mr Morris admitted to the Level 1 offence 2.5 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct,” a statement released by the IPL said. “Hardik Pandya, the Mumbai Indians all-rounder, has been reprimanded for breaching the IPL’s Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Royal Challengers Bangalore at Abu Dhabi. Mr Pandya admitted to the Level 1 offence 2.20 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding.,” the statement read.

Mumbai Indians are standing at the table top of the Indian Premier League (IPL) points table with 16 points whereas Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are standing second with 14 points.
