Former Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Delhi Capitals (DC) captain Gautam Gambhir believes that no players will be afraid of coronavirus cases in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL). Gautam believes that if all the players follow the proper guidelines of the bio-bubbles, given by the BCCI as a part of coronavirus protocol, then there will be no problem.

“I don’t think that players will be afraid of it. It is important to be in the bio-secure bubble and follow the guidelines. Just because of one person, the tournament can’t be sacrificed. So, it is important to follow the instructions and guidelines,” ANI quoted Gambhir as saying.

Earlier, 13 members from Chennai Super Kings, including two players had  tested positive for coronavirus. But, all the players have completed their compulsory isolation period and have started practicing ahead of the IPL 2020 league.

In the IPL, any team can beat any other team: Gautam Gambhir

Speaking about the chances of Delhi Capitals (DC) winning the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 title, Gautam Gambhir stated that, it’s not it’s not easy to predict anything forehand as most of the cricketers have been out from the ground for a long period of time.

“IPL is a kind of tournament where any team can beat another team. The most important thing is how you start the journey. Also, the Indian players haven’t played any cricket for the last 6 months so whether they are rusty or not will be known once the tournament starts,” Gautam Gambhir said.

The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 tournament is all set to begin from September 19th, which will be played across all the three venues in Dubai.
