The Virat Kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore has never won an IPL season. Even after not having luck in any season, Virat has a special bond with the team which makes him from switching sides. Virat Kohli is the only player who has been with the same franchise since the first edition of the IPL. He was eighteen years old when he was picked up by the RCB and since then he has been with them. Even after being the second-highest run-scorer of the league and one of the best batsmen in the world he is deprived of the champion crown in the tournament.

“It has been 12 years. It is such an amazing journey, so surreal. For a lot of people, it’s all about obvious we want to achieve the ultimate goal for the RCB. We have come close thrice but haven’t made it,” Kohli said in a video posted by RCB’s Twitter handle. “That’s always gonna be our dream together and I was just thinking there is no way in any scenario that I can ever think of leaving this team, because of the love and care, the franchise has shown.

“You can feel emotional about the season going well or not but to have that loyalty with Bangalore, with RCB its quite surreal. Till the time I play IPL, regardless of how we play, I’ll never leave this team.” Kohli and his team has started training in the emirates and is looking forward to this season to be their year.
International players have started doing the squad and are beginning training after mandatory 7-day quarantine and returning negative COVID-19 tests.
