Gujarat Titans (GT) suffered a worrying setback in their clash against Mumbai Indians (MI) as in-form batter Sai Sudharsan appeared to suffer a serious injury while attempting to stop a boundary during the 10th over of the second innings at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
The incident occurred when Suryakumar Yadav swept R Sai Kishore for four, placing the ball perfectly behind square. Sai Sudharsan, fielding at long leg, dived to stop the ball but immediately clutched his leg and was seen crying out for help. The physios rushed in, and the batter had to be helped off the field, unable to move on his own.
This could be a major blow for Gujarat Titans, as Sudharsan has been one of their most consistent run-scorers. He has scored 469 runs in his last six IPL innings, including a solid 63 (41) earlier tonight against MI.
