Delhi Capitals have received yet another injury setback, with fast bowling prodigy Kamlesh Nagarkoti being ruled out of the rest of the Indian Premier League 2023 (IPL) due to a back injury. The 23-year-old pacer has not yet played for Delhi Capitals this season, and reports from PTI suggest that he will miss the entire tournament.
Nagarkoti has a history of back injuries, having struggled with the same problem in previous IPL seasons. Despite being picked by Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2018 edition’s auction, he has only made 12 appearances in the tournament. He missed the entire 2019 season due to a back injury before finally making his IPL debut in 2020.
