Mitchell Starc produced a sensational bowling performance to register the first five-wicket haul of IPL 2025, as Delhi Capitals bowled out Sunrisers Hyderabad for 163 runs. The left-arm pacer showcased his class, striking early and finishing strong to claim his maiden T20 fifer.
Early breakthroughs set the tone
Starc made an immediate impact in his second over, dismissing Ishan Kishan and Nitish Kumar Reddy in quick succession. His raw pace and swing troubled the SRH batters, and the early strikes put the opposition on the back foot. Despite a fighting 74 off 41 balls from Aniket Verma, SRH failed to capitalize on the momentum, losing wickets at regular intervals. Kuldeep Yadav (3/22) also played a key role in restricting Hyderabad. Now, with 164 runs needed for victory, Delhi Capitals will back their strong batting lineup to chase it down comfortably.
