The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League is one of the most-awaited seasons of the League.
With the global pandemic still in place, a lot of efforts have been put to conduct the IPL and to maintain the safety of everyone involved. The tournament is taking place in UAE and the BCCI has put in place a set of rules which need to be followed.Bio-bubble, one team per hotel and regular testing are a few of the major rules that have been put in place by BCCI.
Special Bluetooth bands will be mandatory for all the players at all times. These bands will ring an alarm if they break the two-meter distancing rule. The families travelling along are also supposed to wear these bands. The players can only remove the band when they are going t sleep.
The players are also not allowed to visit each other in their rooms to maintain distancing. They can only meet at the doors of the rooms or the designated meeting areas.
This restriction was the most unpopular among players during the webinar, chaired by BCCI’s interim chief executive officer Hemang Amin. One of the usual sights at the team hotels are a group of players hanging out together and playing play stations but unfortunately, that won’t happen this time.
In-house hairstylists will have to use PPE’s when they are on the job. The camera crew will have also have to wear PPE kits during photo shoots.
