Things haven’t gone well with the CSK side as their strike bowler, Deepak Chahar on whom the franchise spent a whopping amount of 14 crores, has been ruled out of the tournament due to an injury. This has added wow to the already failing campaign of CSK in this year’s IPL, so far.
It was earlier reported that Chahar would be fit for the season before the second week of April but the tear doesn’t seem to cure anytime soon. According to the reports, Chahar sustained a back injury during his rehab period at NCA while recovering from a quadricep tear caused during India’s T20 series against West Indies. There are no further reports on his injury apart from his failed participation in the IPL season.
