The BCCI is very sure of not allowing fans in the stadium for the entire duration of the IPL. There are still discussions going on if there will be any fan interaction even in the latter half of the league. The board of cricket is very hesitant in taking any risk which might jeopardise the safety of the people directly involved including the players.

The NBA, brought tech giants Microsoft on board to improve the fan experience as the league got underway on an unprecedented shortened season this year. There is no word from the BCCI on what are they doing to improve fan interaction this year. There has been no development and everything that has been offered is still pending say reports.

The BCCI is yet to release the schedule and has said it will do it on Friday. There is also a question on international travel and if Abu Dhabi authorities permit the teams to travel to Dubai and Sharjah on the same day.

There has also been promotional controversy, broadcasters Star released a promotional video of the league on social media on Wednesday evening, one that led to a huge controversy.

While some jerseys have been adequately featured in the video, some haven’t – leading to a ruckus and debate. “Why discriminate between franchises? The teams that bring the most ratings from IPL have been sidelined in the video,” two franchises said.
