Cricket enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the unveiling of the schedule for the highly anticipated Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is poised to announce the schedule for the first 15 days of the tournament on Thursday.
Earlier this week, IPL chairman Arun Dhumal confirmed that the tournament will be held entirely in India. He also provided a glimpse of the expected schedule, with the remaining fixtures slated to be released after the General Elections in 2024.
According to sources familiar with BCCI’s plans, IPL 2024 is set to commence in Chennai on March 22. The inaugural match will see the Chennai Super Kings square off against the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the iconic M. A. Chidambaram Stadium.
