After Chennai Super Kings lost to Rajasthan Royals by 3 runs in a thrilling game, CSK’s skipper MS Dhoni gave his assessment on the game. He felt that they could have won if some previous batters would have kept rotating the strike. When asked about his milestone of completing 200 games as CSK captain in the IPL, Dhoni said it is not the milestone that matters to him, it’s just the results and the performances in the game.
Dhoni also claimed that he didn’t know that it was his 200th game as captain of CSK and he was just in the match mood. Despite the loss, CSK stays at the same 5th position in the points table.
“I think in the middle overs we needed a bit more strike rotation, there wasn’t much for the spinners but they had experienced spinners and we could not rotate strike. It was not that difficult and the ownership (of the loss) should come from the batters. Overall I was very happy with the bowlers. I really didn’t know it was my 200th (game as CSK skipper) and milestones don’t really matter for me, it is about how you’re performing and the results,” said MS Dhoni in the post-match interview as telecasted on Jio cinema.
