The 2012 IPL season if one tries to recall often its the dark shades that highlights in front of you then the lighter ones as the season was sparked with many on field and off field mellow drama which drew the 2012 season gritter as whole.
Shah Rukh Khan Wankhede Ban
The Bollywood star and the co-owner of the KKR was involved in a battle of words with the security guards at the Wankhede Stadium after his side defeated Mumbai Indians, apparently the spat did not go well with the Mumbai Cricket Association who looks after the Stadium and handed Khan a 5 year ban from entering into the Stadium which was then later revoked in 2015.
Spot fixing into the limelight
The sting operation conducted by a certain news channel highlighted the spot fixing in the IPL season of 2012 and then acting upon the evidences then President of BCCI N, Srinivasan handed a life long ban to the T.P Sudhira and a 5 year ban to fast medium bowler Salabh Srivastava. The other three players were also involved which were Mohnish Mishra, Abhinav Bali and the all rounder Amit Yadav were all banned for a year. All the above mentioned players were involved in spot fixing scandal which is believed to have deeper roots in the IPL involving major personalities.
Luke Pomersbach Arrest over molestation charges
The RCB batsmen was arrested in New Delhi over a complaint of molestation filled by a US woman who also claimed the Australian player did beat up her fiance when he tried to intervene, The Royal Challengers did suspend Pomersbach pending enquiry. But all the charges were reportedly dropped after the complaint was withdrew.
