Indian pacer Navdeep Saini will undergo scans following his left shoulder injury

Navdeep Saini underwent a left shoulder injury during the second T20I vs Sri Lanka on 28th July. The player will have to go through scans to verify the extent of the injury as stated by BCCI.

The Indian pacer Navdeep Saini will go through scans to verify the extent of harm done to his left shoulder while the player was fielding during the second T20 International against Sri Lanka on the 28th of July.

Saini was forced to be taken off the pitch while this compelled India to drop into their Starting XI for the third game after the player fell onto the pitch over the Sri Lanka innings and injured his shoulder. He didn’t bowl a single over in the match.

It has not been confirmed yet if the injury is considerable that might require the Delhi speedster to have an extended lay-off. “Navdeep Saini suffered a left shoulder injury while fielding during the second T20I vs Sri Lanka on 28th July.

He might have to undergo scans to ascertain the extent of the injury. His progress is being monitored by the medical staff,” asserted BCCI through a statement on Twitter.

The Indian team are already suffering from eight of their players being quarantined due to their all-rounder Krunal Pandya’s COVID-19 test that unfortunately stated positive result. The exhausted team of Indians lost their second T20 match against the Sri Lankans by four wickets. The series decider is in action at the same location.
