Indian limited-overs team starts training in Sri Lanka

The Shikhar Dhawan led-Indian team starts the first training session ahead of the limited series against Sri Lanka from July 13. The second-string squad of India which contains talented youngsters had arrived in Sri Lanka on Monday following which the players underwent quarantine in their room for three days. This youngster side will be led by Shikhar Dhawan and coached by former Indian skipper Rahul Dravid.

This is the last T20I series before the T20 World Cup in October-November. The squad contains six uncapped players including Chetan Sakariya, krishnappa Gowtham, Nitish Rana, Devdutt Padikkal, Varun Chakravarthy and Ruturaj Gaikwad.

It is a task for other capped players like Prithvi shawm Ishan Kishan, Sanju Samson and Surya Kumar Yadav to secure the place in the World Cup squad. This team will play three one-day internationals and as many T20Is.
