The host team clearly dominated the English side with the bat. Yashasvi Jaiswal started off things with some pace for India by scoring 80 in just 74 balls followed by KL Rahul’s 86 & Jadeja’s much needed 81 not out. Rohit (24), Gill (23), Shreyas Iyer (35) & Srikar Bharat (41) contributed to take India to a sufficient lead on day two. The Day 2 ended with a four, six, four by Axar Patel who is batting at 35 not out to help Jadeja take the total ahead for India.

It will be exciting to see how England bowlers will approach with the new ball on Day 3. Meanwhile, the Indian batters will try to add maximum runs on the scoreboard.
