Ravindra Jadeja has brought up his century as the Indian cricket team got a perfect start on day 2 in the first Test against Sri Lanka. Indian team chose to bat first after Rohit Sharma won the toss on Friday. It was the right decision as Indian batsmen were on fire. Ravindra Jadeja and Ravi Ashwin started the day 2 gameplay and they started with a boom. At the start only, Ravi Jadeja brought up his fifty. Ravi Ashwin wasn’t behind as he also completed his fifty but got out on 61 runs. ‘
Ravindra Jadeja didn’t stop after his half-century as he made his 2nd Test century on day 2 of the first Test against Sri Lanka. All this happened in the first session itself. Ashwin and Jadeja also marked a 100+ run partnership for the 7th wicket. They could have added more but Ashwin was caught behind and he had to walk off to the pavilion. The Indian team is looking comfortable on day 2 despite Ashwin’s wicket in the first session. The first session has ended where India stood at 468/7 which is a good score as per some cricket experts and commentators.
Comparing Sri Lanka’s bowling performance from the first day, the second day is really poor for them as they aren’t able to build pressure on Indian batsmen. However, they got one set batter out but their line and length didn’t seem much effective as compared to the first day.
