Ind vs SL: Indian cricket team confirms the inclusion of Axar Patel in the team for the second Test

Indian cricket team after winning the first Test in Mohali which was Kohli’s 100th is ready for the second and final Test against Sri Lanka starting from March 12 in Bengaluru.

After the Indian cricket team won in an emphatic manner in the first Test against Sri Lanka in Mohali, are ready to take on the opposition in the second and final Test which is been scheduled to play in Bengaluru starting from March 12. The Indian cricket team has made a slight change in the squad for the second Test against Sri Lanka as spin bowler Axar Patel is been included in the team. He was not fit for some months and thus wasn’t been picked up by the selectors for the series against Sri Lanka. But as per BCCI’s official statement, Axar Patel is now fit to play and that’s why has been added to the squad for the second Test against Sri Lanka.

“The All-India Senior Selection Committee has added Axar Patel to India’s squad for the second Test to be played from 12-16th March in Bengaluru,” BCCI said in a media release also posted on their official website on Tuesday.

Axar Patel has taken the place of spinner Kuldeep Yadav’s place in the team. Rohit Sharma’s blues will be looking to clean sweep this series as well after they swept West Indies before this by 3-0 in both ODI’s and T20Is. The second and final Test will be played in Bengaluru and will be the last game the Indian team will play before the IPL 2022.
