Ravichandran Ashwin has also completed his half-century. After Ravindra Jadeja completed his fifty at the start of day 2, now his partner spin bowler Ashwin has brought up his half-century. Both the batters came out to play on the second day when India were 357/6. Now both the batters have contributed some important runs for their team.
Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja have also reached a 100-run partnership for the 7th wicket. They both are looking in great touch and it seems difficult for Sri Lankan bowlers to get these both batters out. India has passed the 450-run mark which is a huge score in this pitch. Not a great start for Sri Lankan bowlers as they haven’t got a wicket yet and Jadeja-Ashwin seemed comfortable on day 2 gameplay. It will be interesting to see whether India declares their innings or Sri Lankan bowlers will bowl out the Indian team.
The way these two batters (Ravi Jadeja and Ravi Ashwin) are playing, it is looking very difficult for Sri Lanka to bowl out India. Both the batsmen are maintaining a good pace as they are not too much behind the ball. Jadeja is now playing at 90 runs as he faced only 150 balls yet. Meanwhile, Ashwin is playing at 55 and only faced 77 balls yet.
