The second Test of the two-Test series between India and Sri Lanka will be played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday. The Test match against Sri Lanka will be a Day-Night and it will be the first Day-Night Test match for Rohit Sharma as captain. After beating Sri Lanka by an innings and 222 runs in the first test match played in Mohali, the Indian team would like to win the second test match in Bangalore and clean sweep in the test matches after beating Sri Lanka 3-0 in the T-20 series.
India had defeated Sri Lanka in the first test match in 3 days, after which it is going to be difficult for Sri Lanka to make a comeback. Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja performed brilliantly in the first test match for India. Ravindra Jadeja scored 175 not out and took 9 wickets in the first test match played in Mohali and was named ‘man of the match’ for his all-round performance.
This was Rohit Sharma’s first Test match as a captain and after his impressive performance in the first Test, now it has to be seen whether Rohit Sharma will do any experiment in the playing XI in the second Test or will go with the same playing XI.
India’s Probable XI:
Rohit Sharma (c), Mayank Agarwal, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj
Pitch Report:
M Chinnaswamy’s pitch has always proved to be favorable for the batters and also helps the fast bowlers on this pitch for the first 3 days. After the first 3 days, the pitch becomes favorable for the spinners as well and the pitch helps both batters and bowlers. Being a Day-Night Test match, Chinnaswamy’s pitch can prove to be very helpful for the fast bowlers.
Weather report:
The weather in Bangalore is generally dry in the month of March but there is a possibility of rain on March 14, 15, and 16 due to which rain can hinder the match. In the second test match, the temperature will be between 18 to 33 degrees Celsius.
