Rishabh Pant, coming down in a critical situation hits a well deserved century. A fine knock by Pant helps India take lead of more than 200 runs. Players and fans are speechless with this responsible role of Rishabh.
The young keeper, who was not in form throughout the series, hits his fourth century of Test game. Virat’s struggle once again failed to give Pant a positive backup, but the young man didn’t just stop there, instead stands well, giving India an opportunity for this historical win.
Rishabh bashed 4 sixes and 6 fours, reaching his hundred in just 133 balls. Fans surely doubt this to be Test game, with Pant hitting an ODI style 100 with some T20 shots in it. Rishabh while reaching into nail-biting 90s, tried to hit his unique shot – over the keeper’s head to Marco, but failed to do so. Not only this but slipping of bat and teasing with Kyle, South African keeper, were too some laughable moments for the fans to remember Pant’s knock.
Rishabh gives a good lead to Team India, but India has already lost 9 wickets and is in a critical position with the game in South Africa’s hands. Delhi Capitals teammate, Kagiso Rabada looks good to stop Pant from one end, while Maharaj got hit for three sixes by Pant.
With Rishabh on strike, South African team changes their team field to a defensive mode, not giving an opportunity to Rishabh. Rishabh is looking rigid with his knock, but will this knock help India to grab the trophy? Will have to see.
