The toss for the fourth T20I between India and South Africa has been pushed back further after umpires conducted a fresh inspection in the middle, focusing primarily on visibility rather than pitch conditions.

According to on-ground updates, the umpires were seen carrying out a visibility test, with one official positioned near the pitch while the other was asked to move towards the boundary to check whether players and the ball could be clearly seen through the thick fog. The exercise underlined concerns that lighting and sightlines remain compromised despite no rain in the area.

Following the assessment, officials have scheduled a third inspection at 8:00 pm local time. Until then, all South African players, who had briefly returned to warm up on the outfield earlier, have gone back into the dressing room.

As of now, there has been no announcement regarding any reduction in overs. Match officials are keen to wait for an improvement in visibility before proceeding with the toss, with fog continuing to hang heavily over the ground.

Further updates on the toss and possible start time are expected after the 8:00 pm inspection.
