The India–Pakistan clash in Dubai turned fiery yet again when Shubman Gill had a verbal go at Shaheen Afridi, adding to the already electric atmosphere.
The flashpoint came in the fourth over when Shaheen bowled a length delivery outside off. Gill danced down the track and hammered it through extra-cover for four. As Afridi turned back, Gill was seen gesturing and reportedly telling him, “Ball leke aa”, a jibe that instantly lit up social media.
Earlier in the innings, Abhishek Sharma had already smashed Shaheen for a six and exchanged words with the Pakistan pacer. Now, Gill’s aggressive send-off has doubled the drama, leaving fans buzzing over India’s fearless approach against Afridi.
At the time of the incident, India were cruising at 32/0 in 3.1 overs, with Gill batting on 21 (11) and Abhishek on 11 (8), chasing 172.
