He played a knock of 106 runs in the second inning against England in the turning track of Chennai.

Ravi Ashwin took 8 wickets and scored a century in the second match along with a fifer in the first inning of the match. He was one of those players who played the best knock in the turning track of Chennai. No English player even scored a half-century in the match.

India won the match by 317-runs and leveled the series by 1-1. The visitors won the first match by 227-runs, but the host made the comeback and won the match by a huge margin.
