Team Australia had successfully boarded to arrive India for the Border Gavaskar Trophy and while two sets of Australia team was sent to India, Usman Khawaja missed to be a part of the travelling squad.
According to the reports, the delay in Visa was because physical copy of the same was unavailable by the time a second set of squad members left Australia on Tuesday. The 36-year-old Islamabad-born Khawaja will now fly out to Bengaluru on Thursday.
The veteran Australian opener’s visa delay have created a ruckus for the team management to schedule another planned flight timing.
