Canberra, October 29, 2025:
Team India’s captain Suryakumar Yadav added another milestone to his glittering T20I career during the IND vs AUS 1st T20I in Canberra. The 33-year-old became only the fifth cricketer in history and the second Indian after Rohit Sharma to hit 150 sixes in T20 Internationals.
Yadav achieved the feat in just 86 innings, making him the second-fastest batter ever to reach the 150-sixes mark in T20Is — behind only Muhammad Waseem of the UAE, who accomplished it in fewer innings.
Despite the match being washed out due to persistent rain, Suryakumar entertained fans with his trademark aggressive batting, smashing two sixes on his way to an unbeaten 39-run knock, before rain interrupted play permanently.
Most sixes in T20 Internationals
| Player | Sixes | Country |
|---|---|---|
| Rohit Sharma | 205 | India |
| Muhammad Waseem | 187 | UAE |
| Martin Guptill | 173 | New Zealand |
| Jos Buttler | 172 | England |
| Suryakumar Yadav | 150* | India |
With this achievement, Suryakumar further cements his reputation as one of the most explosive batters in world cricket. His aggressive approach and consistency have made him a key figure in India’s T20 setup, especially in the build-up to next year’s T20 World Cup.
