The teams for Team India’s first two Test matches against Australia and their white-ball series against New Zealand were revealed on Friday. Sarfaraz Khan, who has consistently scored runs on the domestic circuit over the past few years, was once again passed over while Ishan Kishan received his first Test call-up. Four Test matches between Australia and India are slated to take place next month.
The ignored Sarfaraz Khan posted a story where a graph was displayed with Sarfaraz’s first-class average of 80.47, which put him second only to Don Bradman among batters with at least 50 innings.
On the other hand, the second story revealed that he had a first-class match average for Mumbai of 110.73.
Sarfaraz scored 982 runs at an average of 122.75 in the 2021–22 Ranji Trophy, including four centuries and two half-centuries. His best mark was a 275. In the meantime, he has amassed 431 runs in the current edition with an average of 107.75, a strike rate of 70.54, two centuries, and one half-century.
